Global Aid Silent Art Auction

World ORT International Cooperation (IC) Global Aid Silent Art Auction

A silent auction of artworks created by ORT students and supporters worldwide will take place in September in aid of programs benefiting female students and refugees in ORT programs worldwide.

Funds raised by the auction will be put towards supporting ORT’s STEM education program for girls in Ghana, and to our refugee assistance programs in Greece.

ORT has established a dynamic technology learning hub in the coastal town of Elmina, Ghana, that trains hundreds of students and their teachers in a range of STEM-related programs and activities. The auction will benefit the growth of the project and assist 200 additional students in 2024 and into 2025. The project runs in partnership with Nduom Community Library and Coconut Grove Hotel.

In Greece, ORT continues to support a refugee protection program, providing legal aid, mental health services and entrepreneurial activities for vulnerable women. Working in partnership with Irida Women’s Center in Thessaloniki, the initiative ensures the women have the opportunities they need to move forward with new skills to support them in all areas of their lives while also contributing to their communities.

Artwork for the auction will include drawings by ORT students in Ukraine (below). Austin Center, an artist and ORT America national board member, has donated a tree of life sculpture for the auction (above). Minimum bids for the piece will be set at $800.

Bids will take place online and items up for auction will be viewable via this page, closer to the auction date.
