20 December 2002 The Jewish World in Postcards, a CD-ROM project created by the ORT-Gunzburg Centre in St Petersburg, won a prize in the category of Multimedia Design at the ‘Content 2002’ competition in December. The CD-ROM produced in cooperation with the ORT Petersburg Judaica Centre, and with the support of the JDC, presents various aspects of Jewish life in Russia at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The Russian competition is held each year to promote hundreds of professional projects, such as CD-ROMs, DVDs, websites and other multimedia projects that are released in the country throughout the year. ORT has participated in this competition twice before and, each time, took home prizes. In 2001, ‘St. Petersburg’s Jewish Community: Three Centuries of History’ computer album became the overall winner in the category of Guides and Albums.
