Shine light into the lives of Syrian refugees this Chanukah

21.12.16

“We want to live like the rest of the world. We want peace. We wish to live.”

With these words, children at Aleppo’s last orphanage have been pleading for the world to help. They are among the tens of thousands of people who endured unspeakable horrors while trapped in the remains of the city.

You can do something.

Join World ORT in supporting the Jewish Coalition for Disaster Relief’s efforts to help Syria’s refugees.

The JCDR has been supplying both refugees and relief workers with medical and other vital supplies and has been providing legal assistance with resettlement applications.

The need is greater than ever – and so is the need for funds. World ORT is calling on you to help. As Rabbi Hillel said, “If I am not for myself who am I? But if I am only for myself, what am I?”

World ORT knows that the JCDR ensures donors’ contributions are used in the best way – it supported our programme in Haiti training construction workers in earthquake resistant building methods.

Please donate today and spread some light into the lives of men, women and children whose lives are benighted by war.
