ORT Day - 6 April 2022

ORT Day is global celebration of the ORT network, connecting students, teachers, alumni and friends of ORT to come together and celebrate our mission to prepare people and communities for meaningful, self-sufficient futures.

This year’s edition of ORT Day will focus on the theme of ‘Face the Future’.

ORT DAY ACTIVITIES

ORT DAY QUIZ

Join us and take part in a global ORT quiz on 6 April @ 2pm (BST).

The quiz is open to all ORT students, teachers, parents, alumni, professionals and supporters. You can take part as an individual or as a team.

You will need the ORT Day Quiz Pack to prepare for the quiz. If you are based in Israel, please use this version.

The winning team or individual will win $150. (The prize is only available to ORT students)

Registration is essential by 5 April 2022.

We will be using zoom to facilitate the quiz, so you must register with an email address that is connected to your zoom account for security purposes

MY ORT CONNECTION (Live talk with Q&A)

15 minute live talks and Q&A sessions with ORT students from ORT Argentina, ORT Latvia, ORT Estonia and ORT Lithuania.

Hear from ORT students about their life experiences, connection to ORT, Jewish identity and their future dreams.

ORT HISTORY VIDEO LESSON

 

Explore ORT’s history in Israel, looking at the foundation of the State of Israel, bringing together migrants from across Europe, Asia and North Africa and the issues which arose out of the need to provide for these newcomers through training programs and apprenticeships in ORT schools but also issues around integration, culture, and socio-economic barriers to refugees in a new state.
