Jacob has been involved with the Montreal Jewish community for the past 25 years. He is the co-President of ORT Canada and was until recently the Chairman of the National Board of the Canadian Institute for Jewish Research (CIJR).
His previous positions include Israel Bonds-Chairman of the Business Division; Canadian Representative for the Israel-Canada Chamber of Commerce; Beit Halochem-Chairman of fundraising for the Montreal among others.
Having worked as a research engineer and aerodynamics engineer, Jacob runs his own high-tech company in the field of Computer Networking for Personal Computers. He is married and has two children and five grandchildren.
