The Colegio Isaac Rabin in Panama City is a Jewish school with more than 300 students, from preschool through to high school age.
The school affiliated with the ORT network in 2013. It has an open, democratic, multicultural, inclusive, and constructivist academic outlook.
Its mission is to educate young people who will become active and supportive members of their communities and wider society. It offers the Cambridge English and DELF and IB Diploma Certificate.
The school offers a Tikkun Olam program for students in elementary school through to 9th grade and its own programs, as well as ones organised by ORT, that deepen students’ knowledge and skills in STEM subjects.
Panama is also the host country of the annual World ORT Ecology Summer School. With access to both the Pacific and the Atlantic Ocean and containing tropical rainforests as well as coastal flora and fauna, it has proved to be perfectly suited to the aims of the summer school, which attracts ORT high school students from across the Spanish-speaking world.
For two weeks, the teenagers carry out undergraduate-level research into the country’s eco-system and study the world’s current ecological and environmental issues.
