Catering to more than 340 students, the ORT Tallinn Jewish School is the only Jewish school in Estonia and consistently ranks among the top 20 schools nationwide.

It is known for its strong academic program with in-depth instruction in STEM, IT, and Jewish studies and is a vital component in the 2,000-strong Jewish community’s regeneration.

With World ORT’s support, it has developed new digital learning environments and is expanding its AI programming. It is recognized for its ability to share expertise in IT and engineering, STEM and AI, and entrepreneurship and international relations.

Tallinn Jewish School was originally founded in 1924. It closed during the Nazi occupation in 1941, and reopened in 1990. After the war, Russian-speaking Jews from the Soviet Union settled in the country together with some of the 4,500 Estonian Jews who had fled the Nazi invasion.

The school joined ORT’s global network in 2008.
