Sharing Gratitude: A Letter from Lithuania

16.09.2026

While you often hear about the impact we are making throughout our network, we wanted to share a story directly from one of our schools. At the start of this school year, we received a beautiful letter from Vilnius Sholom Aleichem ORT High School in Lithuania that we are honored to share with you, because our work is only possible because of your generosity.

Dear World ORT Leadership,

On behalf of Vilnius Sholom Aleichem ORT High School, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support, partnership, and commitment to our school.

For many years, World ORT has played an important role in the development and growth of our school. Your support has enabled us to strengthen the quality of education, introduce innovative teaching methods, expand our STEM programmes, invest in the professional development of our teachers, and create new opportunities for our students.

Yet your contribution goes far beyond financial support. Being part of the World ORT family gives our school a strong sense of belonging to an international Jewish educational community. It offers our teachers and students valuable opportunities to learn, collaborate, exchange ideas, and experience what it means to be part of a global network united by shared values and a commitment to education.

For a Jewish school in Lithuania, this connection is especially meaningful. Our mission is not only to provide excellent academic education, but also to preserve and strengthen Jewish identity, culture, traditions, and community for future generations. World ORT’s partnership helps us fulfil this mission while continuing to develop as a modern, ambitious, and innovative school.

We are deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us and for the support you have provided. Your contribution has made a real and lasting difference to our students, our teachers, and our entire school community.

Thank you for believing in our school, for supporting our vision, and for standing with us. We are proud to be part of the World ORT family and sincerely hope to continue this meaningful partnership for many years to come.

With sincere gratitude and warmest regards,

Dr. Ruth Reches
