Since joining the ORT network at its inception, the school has become a leading center for Jewish education and innovation, and it fosters strong affiliation with Jewish culture and tradition.

Students benefit from STEAM-integrated learning and regular cross-disciplinary lessons. The school participates in the “Vilnius is a School” initiative, holding more than three percent of lessons in museums, theaters, and cultural venues around the city.

The school offers an accredited Cambridge International Program and staff have participated in international training seminars, including the Cambridge Principals’ Forum, and a Warsaw teaching seminar.

The Gymnasium is a leader in educational innovation and professional development. Teachers have attended ORT seminars and integration of Cambridge and Erasmus+ programs has enabled students and staff to participate in international exchanges and internships.

ORT’s work in Lithuania began in 1920, setting up vocational schools, apprenticeship programs, and projects for the Jewish community. During the war, ORT operated in the Kovno ghetto until its liquidation in 1944.
