The United States is, through the work of ORT America, the largest global source of ORT fundraising.
ORT America’s fundraising efforts in support of projects in Israel and the former Soviet Union include programs and events, missions, corporate sponsorship opportunities and the solicitation of major gifts.
It is led by a national board of directors and a professional staff operating out of its national office and regional offices throughout the country.
ORT America was created in 2007 from the merger of Women’s American ORT, which was established in 1927, and American ORT, which was set up in 1922.

Universidad ORT Uruguay became the country's first officially recognized private university in 1996 and is now the largest of its kind in the country.
Bulgaria
ORT No. 134 “Dimcho Debelianov” Jewish school is the result of a successful collaboration between ORT, the Bulgarian authorities and The Ronald S Lauder Foundation (from 2003 to 2019).
Italy
ORT works in Italy with two Jewish schools: ORT Liceo Renzo Levi, in Rome, and Scuola della Comunita Ebraica, in Milan, both of which provide excellence in general and Jewish education.
