ORT Mexico was established in 1935 and since then it has supported Mexican Jews through operational and fundraising activities.

In 2022 a new name – Colegio Olamí ORT – was welcomed into the ORT network lfollowing the merger of two Jewish schools in Mexico City.

The decision to join forces between the existing ORT school – Colegio Israelita de México ORT (CIM-ORT) – and the Colegio Hebreo Sefaradí was taken with the intention of creating a formidable school. The new establishment expands ORT’s presence and recognition in Mexico.

The ORT Mexico University for Social Responsibility, Entrepreneurship and Leadership is Latin America’s first university to focus on Tikkun Olam and social responsibility, with its program geared to raise the quality of non-profit management.

ORT Mexico has also been invited to provide training programs for teachers and expert advice on being an agent for social change.
