The ORT Pri Etz Chaim School in Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, caters to more than 110 students of elementary through to high school age.

The school, which opened in 1993 and joined the ORT network in the 2005-2006 academic year, is known for its strong academic performance, ranking first in the country in 2019 for academic outcomes and knowledge quality, as assessed by the Kyrgyz national education center.

It provides a safe and nurturing environment in this Muslim central Asian republic and attracts students with academic and STEAM-based excellence.

Project-based and interdisciplinary learning approaches are central to the activity of the school, which also boosts family and communal life with its in-depth Jewish education syllabus. Languages learned are Kyrgyz, Russian, English, and Hebrew, and the school also emphasizes specialized instruction in STEAM disciplines.
